Cherie E. Thompson focuses her practice on transactional matters in real estate. She represents clients in relation to both residential and commercial transactions. Ms. Thompson assists clients in relation to the purchase and sale of single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, multi-unit apartment buildings and mixed-use buildings. Ms. Thompson also represents developers of condominium properties and single-family homes.
Ms. Thompson received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northern Illinois University and received her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the following bar associations:
Erik J. Thompson focuses his practice on real estate and corporate matters. Mr. Thompson represents clients in relation to commercial real estate transactions, including multi-family apartments, shopping centers, industrial properties, property development and related financing. Additionally, Mr. Thompson assists the firm’s clients in relation to residential real estate transactions and the formation of limited liability companies, corporations and other business entities. Prior to joining Thompson & Thompson, Mr. Thompson was General Counsel for Harris Bank Glencoe-Northbrook, N.A and Senior Attorney for ABN AMRO North America, Inc., the holding company for LaSalle Bank, N.A.
Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Iowa and attended the University of Notre Dame Law School’s London, England Center for Legal Studies in international business law. He received his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School. Mr. Thompson is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
